There are no vocals on either version. The one with the violin melody is lovely for learning the hymn or singing along at home. The one without leaves the melody completely open, which is the version you want when you are the voice out front. The arrangement opens quietly on piano, builds through the strings, and lifts from C to D for the final double chorus.
Two arrangements to choose from
This 2026 version is in C, lifting to D, with two verses and a double chorus, running 4:14. I also have an earlier arrangement in the key of B with more verses, running 4:35, featuring organ alongside the piano. Pick whichever key suits your singer.
