Day By Day - Hymn Accompaniment Track & Karaoke Backing Track (MP3)

Sing Day By Day with a full studio arrangement behind you. This hymn accompaniment track, sometimes called a performance track, soundtrack, or instrumental track, is my own arrangement of Lina Sandell and Oscar Ahnfelt's beloved Swedish hymn, recorded with piano, bass, string orchestra, and solo violin, with the melody left open for your voice.

This is the hymn that begins "Day by day and with each passing moment," known in Swedish as Blott en Dag, not the song from Godspell. Lina Sandell wrote it in the years after losing her father, and its quiet trust has made it a favorite for more than 150 years. People use this track for special music on Sunday morning, for the offertory, for choir and worship team rehearsals, for funerals and memorial services, for singalongs at nursing homes, senior living communities, and family gatherings, and simply for singing at home. You get a beautiful accompaniment without needing a pianist in the room.

What you get

• Two MP3 versions, with and without the violin melody
• Printable PDF lyric sheet
• A reference recording, so you always have something to sing against
• Instant download after checkout, yours to keep
• Cleared for live performance and personal use

There are no vocals on either version. The one with the violin melody is lovely for learning the hymn or singing along at home. The one without leaves the melody completely open, which is the version you want when you are the voice out front. The arrangement moves at an unhurried, prayerful pace, opening gently with piano and building through the verses until the full string orchestra comes in for an instrumental verse and carries you through to the end.
